A Little History

Alan Mast began The Coastal Business Center in 1974 with a selectric typewriter and a willingness to consider almost any customer request.   Amazing as that business plan sounds, the same spirit and faith in human nature prevails today.  Presses and people came and went, more space was needed and then more. 

The Copy Shop was born In the middle of all that, and in 1986, Chris Hallowell joined the staff, becoming Alan's "woman" Friday.  She was key to completing the transition to high speed digital black and white and color printing and the move to larger quarters.  To Alan's delight, Chris bought the shop which made it possible for him to retire in 2000.  There are now five, counting Chris, full time employees and four part time.  Nine people at your disposal for your pre-press, printing and bindery needs.  We are as close as your phone, fax or computer. 

Back to the present

Now you can afford to add color to ALL your printing. Our new 8050 color copier prints small quantities (1-1000) at very affordable prices.  Of course, we still offer our custom color reproduction services. 

Just a reminder, that we accept Visa, Master Card and American Express.  If you'd like us to keep your credit card information securely on file, we can send you your invoice and receipt at the same time.
